The Walking Apocalypse: Update v.2.0 Progress 1


Its time for a progress report update for the eventual v2.0. This version will be expanding on the current build by changing a lot of things. Namely the UI design and cleaning up a lot of the rougher parts. In addition, a new story branching completely from the normal route will be added in order to give more mysteries and some answers to the current situation. But first, a promo image for what's to come.


This update will feature a lot of changes to the basic structure of the game's Arcade like system due to the fact that I was limited in creating it for a gamejam. Now it will be more akin to a node based system where each part will be split to nodes. You will need to unlock the nodes by fulfilling certain conditions (such as losing or winning certain conditions in a certain way). Some are obvious and some are hinted at through conditions that will be shown how to unlock that node. This way, it will be much easier to go through a node instead of going through a linear pathway. And replay the game if you don't get the prerequisites for the true ending.


New Scenarios will be added into the game. Two branching paths. The Resurrection/Redemption route or the Massacre/Mindless route.

That is all for now. I will not promise any release dates but I might have something by late May. We'll have to see.
